Here is how it went down...

When I got out of my truck this morning at the office, a loop of the seatbelt wrapped around the lever on the side of the seat that reclines the seatback.

I did not notice said issue when I got in the truck to go get lunch. During the drive, I leaned back against the seatback and lifted my butt up off the seat to reposition (for comfort purposes). Lifting my butt up pulled the seatbelt strap in such a manner that it pulled up on the recline lever. Since I was, at the time, leaning back against the seatback quite hard, I found myself staring at the headliner of the truck while driving down the road at 45 miles per hour.

It did not go back so far that i couldn't see, but i did do a little swerving as I sat up and drove to the next driveway with the seatback down.

It was probably one of those one in a million deals, kind of makes me feel like i had a starrring role in a Final Destination movie.

Anyway, I had my scare for the day, and can chock up one more time that my truck has given me reason to curse it. (So far, that makes two...) -popcorn

Dont talk to me about "Final Destination". Im starting to get the feeling that Im staring in one of those flicks.

Everytime I turn around, DISASTER.

1999 House fire : Robbery/Arson while I was away camping for the weekend.
2005 Hurricane Katrina : I moved out just weeks before landfall. APT I was in ruined.
2006 APT fire : Neighbors upstairs left a cig butt out on the back porch. Homeless AGAIN!

Im telling ya, someone/Something has it out for me.

At least you haven't shot your firend in the face accidentally anytime in the recent past, like our poor VP is currently having to deal with. I am pretty sure that one would take the taco for bad days in my lifetime. I just feel vindicated from all the times I have gotten ornery with my hunting partners for being lax about safety, and they have given me crap about it. Next time, I will just tell them that I wouldn't want to have to pull a Cheney on them! :roflmao I guess that sort of thing puts it all in perspective. You think YOU'RE having a bad day, try being the second most powerful man in the world and accidentally shoot your buddy in the face!

Honestly, though, Daryl, that really sucks. I hope you find a place to hang your hat and park Whiteout soon.

OOOHHHH Hoss and Daryl. Other that falling down sober, I have no problems. Daryl, I'd invite you out to Enumclaw with me but I kind'a like my place. I got my insurance rates down.

hahaha. Im ok, Im gonna start house hunting in a month. The GOOD THING about the fire was, it got me out of my 1-year lease about the time I wanted to start looking for a house.

Now to find a BRICK home.

go steel
with a brick veneer

tank tough and pest proof ( termites), holds up better than wood in a FIRE, which you seem to be involved in more often than most
