I got the grill cover with my job 3 unit, have been using it up here in MI for the last month. I wish it had an incremental opening like the big rigs use. The towing over 32 degrees is real. I had to move my trailer about 15 miles in December, temp was low 20's, so I left the grill cover on. Just after starting out the brief tow, it started a regen. Engine temp and trany indicators looked fine, but the outside air temperature as indicated by the truck climbed to 92 degrees F (sensor obviously under the hood). Regen + tow = heat.

word to the wise: if you tow with the cover on, watch the outside temp.

they had this problem with the early 7.3's and fixed it in later years. You mean they did it again? Great job engineering there Ford!!!! I guess it doesn't snow up there in Michigan.
