Yul need at [least] When you climb in..(after you unplug it ;)) i

I can remember it being done, but who was it that put a spring loaded plug on their truck?
Something off a fire truck, wasn't it?
Barrett, maybe?

Forgot to plug the old girl in last night and it was in the lower 20s this morning. Man was she PISSED! It just barely cranked after 4 key cycles and lopped really really bad and smoked for a long time! I just ordered the Stancor Relay today. I also went to Home depot and got a heavy duty timer. I think I need new glow plugs because it NEVER started so crappy before this in the cold.

I would wager a small bet that the "plugs" are shot. hopefuly they will come out easy. Good luck. I know my truck starts after just a couple seconds of cranking here in Ut. And everybody knows we get a little snow here! It was down in the teens the other day when i was home, and it strated right up, with only one glow plug cycle. Your temps shouldn't be to tough for it. By the way, i have never plugged my sd in, my pete is always using the chord! (Gotta have my priorities)

I'm going to try starting the truck in the airport this morning. It's been at zero I guess, while I was sweating and slapping skeeters in Brazil! Wish me luck--glad I worked over the batteries a few months back . . .

EDIT: started right up after 2 gp cycles, but it took about 20 miles to get up to 190F coolant temp.

I am going to get the glow plugs today. I want to know what to do if tips break off when trying to remove them.
