Slop in 2" receiver.

I used some 1 3/4" flat washers that I bent in the vise to a "L" shape and used them as wedges. I insert the washer shims on top and on the side of of the ball mount shank. I then slide the ball mount into the reciever and put the cross pin in. The lack of space between the receiver and ball mount keeps the washer/shims from coming out.

Duct tape = Alabama chrome :roflmao And I can say that, my family has its roots in Alabama. Look in the Anniston phone book, dial up any Ray or Ledbetter you find and they are probably kin.

Try looking at the Draw-tite PN 8322 All you have to do is drill a 7/16 hole in the side of the reciever if it is not a Draw-tite or Reese.

In all my hitch receiver's, I use Grade 8 5/8" bolts, torqued down to about 150 ft-lbs. In addition to solving the "hitch slop" problem, it makes it a little harder to steal and the Grade 8 bolt is far stronger than the normal hitch pins.
