I just installed the Silverline 304 4" turbo back (dual) exhaust system on my 06, 6.0 (cat delete). Now here lies the strange issue that I am experiencing, the truck has less power, I am running the edge platinum juice with attitude and the truck takes longer to spool up and it is definetly sluggish with the new exhaust. The stock downpipe was 3" and the Silverline is 3.5 inch. Could this be the problem (less backpressure), or can it be that the computer needs to re-learn the changes to the exhaust? One last question, will re-installing the cat bring it back to where it was. My intent was to gain lower exhaust temps. by installing the larger exhaust, I wasn't really concerned about more power but, I certainly am not willing to accept less power after paying premium dollar for a nice system. I am new to the forum and appreciate any and all help that is offered.

Thanks.

Welcome to Super Duty Diesel, Boss. Less back pressure should cause your turbo to spin up faster. Diesels do not need back pressure like gas engines. You had better look into your Edge unit.

Yeah, what daveben said, check your Edge. My truck has a Silverline(no cat) and no chip, and stock air filter with better spool-up and milage. Did not do any dyno tests, but seat-o-the pants still feels the same.

Problem solved!

Well the only answer I have is that the Edge unit re-learned the setup. After driving the truck about 50 miles it definetly has (Rocket Status) again. The Silverline sure has a nice tone under load. Thanks for all the help.

It's a snap!

Scott, I installed mine on my 06 6.0 and it was very easy. I didn't have any help and was thinking that the down pipe was going to give me trouble but, it slides right in and I was able to get the turbo band on without any problem. The entire porcess was surprisingly easy, I can remember when I installed a Banks Turbo system on my 1988 7.3 and let me tell you that was a bear. Good luck and based on what I now know you are going to really like this system.

I am very pleased with my Silverline. No kitty and 5 in tip sounds real good when pulling the RV up any hill. LOL It is also quite when you want it to be.
I think you will love it.
