Shuttle's In The Air

Even though I missed it on TV, I heard that today's shuttle launch was about as good as a launch can be. They're scheduled for a 16 day run.

Wanted 7 people for space flight (not necessarily safety conscious)
Don't let the damaged foam worry ya none.

I truly do hope they make it back safely.

on the nasa channel they were very pleased with the foam, seems the stuff that fell off happened in a period of flight where gravity is low enough the foam sort of floated away vice banging and clinging and punching holes,
happy to see the US back in the air.
sure wish we could get the whole country to get on board and support it more.
I have my eye on a parcel on the north side of mars :D :sweet

'Twas an excellent launch and fox news showed some nice clips from cameras mounted on the outside of the fuel tanks that got some excellent shots

Yep watched the launch on NASA's website, live streaming video there, was really good. Haven't seen a launch in a long time.:sweet

Why is that?? It seems to me that it is a big waste of taxpayers money. We have plenty of things that need work right here on earth but we spend all that money going up there and gain next to nothing for it. :dunno

The family and I watched the launch as well:sweet

Their camera shot from the main tank all the way to sep was clear and sharp:sweet
