Should I really move from a 7.3 PS to a new 6.0 2007?

Hi guys and (gals),

I own a 1995 CC 350 with 144k. Just had Bullydog exhaust and Air Raid Air filter installed along with a programmer. Had my mechanic friend change the u joints and put new bearings all around. Had a rear bearing failure after approx. 60 miles. Friend replaced the hub and assured me that there was little to minimal spindle scarring from the failure. Said that if I had any rearend trouble he would make good on it. Pull a 41ft 14K dry 5th wheel. Just nervous as a cat on a tin roof about the rear end now (.410) and have the bug for an 07 cc dually 6.0. Would I be going backwards when compared to my 7.3? Thanks for any advice.

I think it is a good move. The 6.0 pulls like nothing else I have driven in the pick up range. It will have all of the power you need. Go drive one for your self, but be prepared to buy it on the spot, you will get hooked.

If you can get a deal for the '07 with a 6.0, I'd go for it.

Your old truck will not compare to the power of the new 2007. I'd get the 6.0 before they disappear. Initially they were horrible, a warranty nightmare for Ford.

By now, I think the 6.0's pretty much have the bugs worked out, albeit at the expense of many owners in time and aggrivaton, if not $$$ also.
You couldn't get me to spend my own money on one of the new 6.4's. I'd be willing to bet that there will be more "new engine" problems just like those experienced with the 6.0 when it first came out.

Just my :2c
