HDTV = High Definition TeleVision there Crumm. It is one of those improvements that costs way more than you should spend, but at least you will be able to lift most LCD TV's. :) :) :)

After several months of extensive researching we have made a decision with a model.

The Samsung LN-T4671F Full 1080P HDTV is what the Mrs. wants:sweet

Now we have to decide on if we upgrade our Dish Network service to their HDTV with the new VIP series DVR or jump ship and go to Directv with their HDTV service.

Decisions,decisions.............:D

Here's a recent photo of the 4671 in front of a old 32" CRT set thats on it's way out.

If your're old unit is in the corner, where you gonna put that bad boy at Bill?

Perhaps over the fire place?

Looks awesome BTW, we are really enjoying the 32" LCD we got for Xmas.

I got Dishes HD package and I am really happy with it. Dish and Direct have almost equal packages. They may differ a bit, but that won't last for long. I got the DVR (top of the line unit) and added a 500GB disc (external) to it.

Dave :) :) :)

The photo I attached is actually from another new 4671 owners place, our new set will go into a huge wall unit with a 54" wide opening for the tv.

We went to Frys this afternoon to narrow it down and while there looking over the various like I already have a dozen times I ran into a couple other Samsung 4671 buyers which also did their homework for the past few months similar to running into fellow Diesel owners filling at the pumps you can't help but striking up a conversation regardless of brand Diesel truck they drive:sweet

As we were leaving the store there was another 2 customers both with new Samsung 4665/4671 in boxes heading out the doors,I swear HDTV is selling like hotcakes!

For the HDTV service provider I want to have a HDTV/DVR that doesn't go belly up in a month or two as I've read several Directv units turning into doorstops in a short amount of time. The Dish Network 522 unit we've had for I think 3-4 years now without a hitch but the harddrive is starting to show some artifacts in playback which indicates time to replace it and the timing is good.

Which 52" Samsung model you pick up scooter?

I got a tip that Dish starting Feb 1st is pushing the commitments to 24 months instead of the current 18 months.

Oh I found this chart that a member from AVS that's charting what carrier is carrying what channels.
