well. i think the common rail would be easier. since a guy made a wire harness that makes hooking up electronics easy.. but i would either have to move my transmission back to use the cummins electric fan or make own motor mounts and run after market electric fans.. but i want a 12 valve.. 98.5 to 02 24 valve would be cool but theirs not as much aftermarket for those engines.

You can make a lot more power with a Common Rail from what I've read. Who makes the wiring harness you mentioned earlier?

I think common rails have a lot more potential, but parts for a 12v are much cheaper. Good luck and keep us posted. I can't wait to see this build!

im getting alll my stuff through autoworld.com he sells a wire harness for about 1000 bucks but sounds like its worth the money
