Anyone know how to deactivate the beeping seat belt warning...without putting on your seatbelt? I strap in all the time, but there's instances where i just drive to the other side of the parking lot or down the block. I could handle it at first but now it just drives me crazy! I'm guessing there's a wire in the buckle I need to snip? Thanks! (beep beep beep beep)-mad

I need to do that mod to mine, I;m gonna look in the manual and do it. Same thing here, always buckle up, but when moving around the yard, hooking a trailer or stuff like that.:sweet

My understanding is that the manual only disables it for that one trip, meaning it resets itself back to beeping the next time you restart the truck.

theres a kookie proceedure (2 or 3 on/offs of the key w/ 9 or so INSERTS
of the seat belt) that disables it for good.

if your just mucking around you can insert the seat belt and then
unclip it (it will stop the alarm and it will not re-alarm as long as the
truck remains running).

BAD WAY TO DO IT ! youll get airbag codes once the system
see that the seatbelt pretensioner is not responding and that the
seatbelt itself is unplugged !

follow the proceedure in the owners manual !

by-passing the seatbelt <pretensioner> will prevent the
seatbelt from locking & could, as a result, cause serious
injury or DEATH.
