I went with the tinted stuff to hide potential fluid leaks.

VERY NICE...you made the right move <tinted> the more opaque stains
last longer and block MORE of the damaging sun...i coated my trailer boards
(which were also not painted/stained from the mfg)...did mine over a year
ago...the trailer sits out in the sun @ a friends and still looks good...boards
are holding up WELL.

consider adding some E-Track (I got mine at M & R Racing along w/
some 12k tie downs and axel straps)...but you can get the etrack
at lots of places (tractor supply etc)

the etrack is very convenient and ive hauled cars THOUSANDS of miles
w/ out a strap or tie down (or anchor point) issue !
