I will post up on this. I was running AMSOIL 15W40 in my vehicle from 3000 miles until 79,000 miles. I was running the extended oil filters rated for 25,000 mile change intervals. I would run my OCI at 10,000 miles because this is what I felt comfortable with. The last time I went to change oil I found out that AMSOIL was no longer currently offering this filter. When I asked the sales person as to why they informed me the filters were being redesigned. I grew concerned when I heard this until I found out people were trying to reach the 25,000 mile intervals and beyond. I have stopped buying AMSOIL since then due to this fact. I have a edge tuner on my truck and so I monitor the engine oil temp all the time. I currently run shell rotella T 15W-40 dino oil and have observed a 20 degree increase in temperature running the dino oil. I want to go back to AMSOIL. Does AMSOIL have their new filter out yet, or is there another maker out there that makes an extend oil filter out there? PS if you are using shell rotella 15w40 dino oil do not let it exceed 3,000 miles. I had 3,500 miles on the shell when a #7 fuel injector fault occurred. Changed the oil cleared the fault and fault has not returned in the last 1,000 miles. Sucks changing oil every 3,000 miles.

I would be interested in participating in your test. I am currently using Amsoil 15-40W Heavy Duty Synthetic Motor Oil in my truck. I have been going 15,000 miles between oil changes. I change the oil filter every 7,500 miles.

I could give it a shot too.... Change my oil at approx. 5k intervals(plus/minus 200miles or so). I have 80k miles, and use Rotella T.............Todd

Just turned 14,000 on my Amsoil 15-40 w/ Ea088 filter. I also see it is not currently available. Sent Tech Support an email. My understanding was the filter was manufactured a little bit too short. Oil drains out of filter/housing and back into pan. On startup, I notice about a 1 to 2 second delay before oil presssure comes up. Factory filter ................?

I have only used Motorcraft filters from day one. Your short filter has been seen before.
