I'm running the SCT Livewire and like it, I believe it is the upgrade to the xcal2.

Very easy plug and play use. Five minutes from stock to an extra 120 horse. Programmable tranny features, programmable cooling fan settings. Reads DTC's .

I have the livewire as well. Check sig for pics. They all can be custom programed by a tuner. Xcal3 is the updated Xcal2 and the Livewire just has build in gauges. The pre-loaded tunes are "OK" but the true beauty of the SCT tuners is with custom files. I've running tunes from Elite, but I've heard many good things about DJ's, ID, DFuser and many others.

is it complicated with setting tranny settings and stuff? can i just pick about 100hp setting and download it? heck, I am still trying to figure out how to work my cell phone, I am hoping the sct is easy and user friendly,
the bully dog i picked performance and installed the program. I am sure i can figure it out.
thanks

The Livewires user interface isnt hard to navigate at all, getting the truck set the way you want it to perform is a trial and error process.

i would just do the x3, looking for like a 100hp setting, i ran a bully dog on performance, no settings for anything really, just a download, i want tokeep it simple, i sold the bd for leather seat factory upholstry. going to get another tuner next week. the canned tunes will be fine, leaving tire settings tranny alone, i dont hammer the truck. The stock setting seems a bit sluggish for my liking. should i just get another bully dog?

I have the xcal3 with custom tunes from DJ's. My hottest tune is supposedly 160. It installed in less than 5 minutes and was a world of difference from my edge evo.

Yeah but you will also wanna get custom options like locking the torque converter and turning the egr off. But as far as can tunes go the can tunes will much stronger than the one yer bully dog had. If you ever do decide to replace more parts like injectors or turbos then the custom tunes can account for all those things too. So it is a programmer that will grow with you. Xcal 2 or a Xcal3 is probably the way you'll wanna go.

with the extra power on there you should probably have a shift kit on the tranny or have the tune firm up the line pressure to shift a little harder to keep it from slipping. someone else more knowledgeable about the 6.0 trannys will chime in.
