Below is a response from a SCT dealer about buying a SCT for towing our 5th wheel up steep long grades to maintain 55 to 60 mph. Also asked him about down pipe size recommendations.

We don't recommend towing that much with a tuner so we will not be able to
provide you with an SCT for that purpose. Some will say that the truck is OK
to tow that much but Domingo is pretty adamant about not doing it and since
he is the one doing the tuning I have to live by his rules..

As for your down pipe question, I would recommend picking up a full system
turbo back. A system such as MBRP will provide you with a 3.5" down pipe
into a 4" system. Most that I have talked to with a 4" down pipe have been
very unhappy with it.

Thank you,
