Hopefully someone can tell me the difference between the SCT SF3 and the SCT X3. They seem to be the same, but there has to be a difference. Thanks for any info!

SF3 comes with 3 canned tunes on it. X3 has none. They both do the same thing when it comes to custom tunes(which is what you want).

So call me dumb but what does canned mean? Is one better than the other? I am pretty computer illiterate so please bear with me here

"Canned" tunes are just generic tunes from SCT, or whoever the programmer/chip is made by, that are for all trucks. The custom tunes will be written specifically for your truck with your mods. The custom tunes are much better, and usually safer than the canned ones.

if u can get the SF for the same price do that
if you go to re sell it it makes you audience much larger
