FYI, the SCT does NOT adjust speedo for larger tires and different gears. They may say it does but it Don't. I just installed the superlift tru-speed to adjust for my 37's and 4.30 gears. If I were you , I would get some custom tunes. BIG differerence. I'd tell you were I got mine but I don't want to piss off any site sponsors.

There quite a few places to get custom tunes, I like Elite Diesel, but there are others, just give them a call and let them know what you want.

i vote for SCT. i'm waiting for my X3. why not add 290 ft/trq!! who can beat that. also has on the fly among every other conceivable feature.

the SCT is NOT adjustable on the fly, but even so it's still a MUCH better programmer than the edge, and much better for your transmission too.
i've tried many different power modules , and there is no comparison with the SCT !!

you won't be disappointed , get a good tuner, and some gauges and never look back.

So does anyone know if I can use the Edge Attitude monitor w/ the SCT? If I go w/ SCT, what do I use for a EGT probe? The one SCT sells is over $200!!

get yourself an egt gauge w/pyro in a pod...

you will NOT want to use the edge even for the monitor, as even with it on the ZERO position, it still corrupts the signals and adjusts timing..

also you will have to unplug the edge everytime you want to reflash your pcm, just get a good set of gauges and the sct trust me.

I don't really like the look of pod gauges. They stick out in the way too much. I'm not going for a street racer setup. I just want a small boost in power. I don't plan on modding the truck anymore than what I have now.

famous last words I just want a small boost in power if thats
true you'd be the 1st...where are you gonna mount the "electronic"
"gauge" ? if you mount it on the a pillar its gonna stick out...you
could velcro it to the dash (yeah that would look good).

if you "hide it" its not gonna be very effective (you need to monitor
the gauge...just like your other "dials")...i dont think its reasonable
to "whip the gauge out" when youre puttin' the pedal to the metal
(you need mental reference points to know when things are not
w/in the acceptable thresholds)

if your gonna run ANY power mods you NEED good gauges...
and the BEST gauges are ones that are "mechanical" theyre
the most accurate and most reliable.

theres other gauge mounting alternatives...or you can be
creative and mount 'em yourself (in the dash etc).

I have the old old Xcal 1 SCT with some custom tunes (insanity tune) and it does an awesome job.

I have seen a new product out called Dash Daq.

It plugs right into the ODB II port and can be customized in just
about anyway you want it to look.

It also has Navigation capabilities.

HomePage--Product

but youll have some nasty BIG wire & PLUG hangin' out from under the
dash then...or work some GPS thing bolted to the top of the dash or
sticking to the windshield (that should be good for the crack heads
that break into our trucks) !

in consideration...you cant watch a gps and gauges (when using a
mulit function monitor)...and this 800 dollar number is using
sensors already connected to the engine (one of which isnt an egt)
