ok so im pulling my 30 ft fifth wheel and 20 foot boat through the CO mountains (denver-steamboat springs)......all goes well..i get to steamboat and let the turbo cool down. i shut it off and go eat...i come back and head off to the lake and i can only get 4lb of boost and im pouring black smoke (running rich due to 4 lbs)

sound like my turbo is done? if so will it make it back to denver OK on its own with no load so i can slap a new turbo on it?

i have tried resetting the ECU and i know shaft turns cux im getting some boost. i have checked all IC pipes and checked IC for holes and i cant find anything that would leak 20 lbs of boost

I AM:
Chipped, cat back exhaust, AFE intake, Banks exhaust break, and new ATS Trans

This sounds almost as though your EBV valve is partially stuck..... this would also mean extremely high EGT's... if your wheel is turning freely, this would be one of two things I would look at, the next would be to inspect your intercooler boots real close, one of them may have worked there way off.

do our trucks have something like a limp mode? i disconnected both batteries for about 30 min and she is back to boosting again. i usually dont let the EGT's get over 1100 post turbo
