Last night myself, Mrs TG, daughter #2 and her boyfriend all went to see ZZ Top in concert at the Island Casino in Harris, MI. I had never been to any concert before and I have to say, we had an outstanding time. There was only one song I wanted to hear but they didn't play, My Head's in Mississippi.

We heard all the hits, Legs, LaGrange, Sharp Dressed Man, Cheap Sunglasses, Gimme All Your Lovin', Tush, Pearl Necklace, I'm Bad I'm Nationwide, Sleeping Bag and Tube Snake Boogie and more. I've been listening to their music for over 30 years now and can say Billy, Dusty & Frank sound much better live than on a CD.

The casino's theater didn't have a bad seat in the house. It was about the size of a typical high school auditorium with the back row still being less than 150' from the stage.

It was kinda pricey at $60 per ticket, but it is a memory that'll last forever.

I haven't gotten a chance to see them in concert, but I really like their songs. CMT has a show called Crossroads. One show had ZZ Top playing with Brooks& Dunn, another was Montgomery Gentry with Skynrd. Those were great to watch. Keith

I saw them back in 2000 in Beaumont, Tx. That concert sold out in about 40 minutes. It was kind of a coming home concert for them since they started out in a little ol' town down there called Port Aurthur about 20 minutes down highway 69.

I think my dad might have some of you beat though. He said when he was growing up (early 70's maybe), one of his friends said he had an extra ticket for a concert down at the KC hall in Beaumont. My dad said that it was one of the loudest bands he'd ever heard in his life. It turned out to be ZZ Top back before they had the beards.
