or better yet...a question about a wet safe...not exactly wet, just damp
the paperwork is damp, the guns are starting to pit, and the fake jewelry is starting to rust....

so far I have been told to try a small lamp bulb, some chemical called "damprid" and a couple charcoal briquets in a bag...

any other ideas?

Heat helps, but a lamp burns out. There is a heater made for that purpose, I think it's sometimes called a goldenrod. Otherwise you can get boxes of re-usable dessicant. When they absorb enough water, they change color, then you thro them in the oven to recharge.

Heres a couple possibilities:
heater
dessicant

Can you get those silica packs in a large size like what comes in some packaging to absord moisture?

I know, from a womans perspective, we use rice in our salt shakers to absorb the moisture that salt gets....

Maybe a big pan of rice? Just an idea...
