Hmmmm, I wonder why we use gauze/oil inlet filters on $600,000 GE T-700 helicopter engines in the desert? I guess Napa didn't have any that fit........oh, I know- It's an aircraft, not a truck so it's not the same.....

Most aircraft only get exposure to dirt on the ground, most of the time they
are in the air. Some aircraft run with no air filter at all, are you suggesting that?
Get HP gain, low EGT, no filtering.. Aircraft engines also wear out very
fast in comparison to a street vehicles. Complete different application, there is no comparison.

Look at the data gathered with the performance of the filtering with the
proper application (trucks on the ground). Go by factual tests done by
the actual vendors (would be even better if the vendor tested with the
correct dust). Every vendor test shows that their product filers worse
than stock.

It is filtration vs. flow. In order to get better flow with the same
surface area then filtration suffers. AIS has a hugh surface area and
great filtering. NAPA filter has a much larger surface area to stock
so it filters the same and has better flow.

Back your choice by whatever diversionary rationalization you can come
up with, but the numbers speak for themselves.
