Tail Gunner, I can't tell from the pictures, but is there enough room to mount them behind the propane and just below the overhang? your camper is shaped roughly like mine and on mine there's a "crossmember" mounted across that area that holds two batteries easily. if it was organized a bit differently I could get 3 in there I think

Regards,
Dave

I figure if I were to put 2 batteries side by side ahead of the LP tanks, the ends of the batteries might stick out far enough to cause problems in a tight turning situation.

Not enough room behind the LP tanks for batteries. There is just enought room for a 4" PVC pipe I mounted there for storing my campfire tri-pod.

I was thinking about maybe a 2nd battery inside a vented battery box in the forward storage area with it being vented to the outside.

If you go with Optima's you don't even have to worry about the venting! :)

Optimas don't need to be vented???
If so, that may simplify things and change things considerably.:thanks

Are you familiar with Trojan batteries? Their reputation is tops for deep cell batteries.

I was looking at their website. They're added to my list of choices. But I may have an availabilty issue way U.P. here.:dunno

It's often times easier to find things in the DFW Metroplex vs. Upper Penninsula, MI. Sometimes it's more of a case of take what you can get instead of what you want. Shipping of batteries is usually a P.I.T.A.
