Question Running on 4 cylinders??

Yesterday I changed all the glow plugs on my 2000 7.3. I also changed my fuel filter. Now my truck sounds and drives like its running on 4 cylinders, it idles rough and has no acceleration at idle and when driving. Just to check I reinstalled the old fuel filter, it made no differance???:

Sounds like a bad connection on one of the under-valve cover harnesses especially since you just had them unplugged.

Just What Crumm said recheck all the wire connectors under the valve cover

If you have a shorted wire in the under cover connector , The IDM will shut that bank off to protect itself.

So yess it will run on 4 (just one bank or the other but should also show a CEL
