My morning starts have been terrible since we got below 40. I'm getting the following codes:

P0261 Cyl 1 injector circuit low
P0264 Cyl 2 injector circuit low
P0470 Exhaust pressure sensor

In the morning it seems to be missing some cylinders and throughout the day runs rough and blows blue/white smoke. (smells terrible)

Since the injectors are covered by my 7/200K warranty I was going to replace the sensor myself before I have the dealer do injectors. I've looked through the bible and can't find the location of the sensor. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also anyone familiar with AE, how do I do a injector buzz test? Can't find that either (software just arrived today)

The exhaust sensor is on the drivers head and it has a small tube running from the head upwards to the sensor. The sensor has two wires on it.

P0264 Cyl 2 injector circuit low
P0470 Exhaust pressure sensor

if i remember correctly, P0470, there should be a TSB for this problem....as for P0261 and 264, sounds to me your FICM is at fault....had the same codes, just different cylinders....replaced FICM....if you can see voltage out put from FICM, should be around 48 volts(need a scanner for this)....hope this helps

Hey, I was just looking at my extended warranty.

Do you think "fuel injection regulator" is another term for FICM???

Update,

Dealer just called: so far they're doing the FICM. They won't know about the injectors until later.

& it's not covered :(:(:(

Alright so I had a bad batch of diesel that was contaminated with water, then i fixed the FICM for the cracked issue, this had a good effect, but there is still a skip when cold, could this be an egr sticking issue, sorry if this is answered somewhere else but im new to 6.0 psd problems. Any answers or possibilities are greatly appreciated. Ther skip only happens for abot 45 seconds and then begins to smooth out. Also i noticed a small connector near the air intake that plugs into the head cover that is broken is this the fuel injector controller?

Diesel engines run like crap when they are cold. The have to warm up in order to run properly. I have no idea of the connector you are talking about. You need to fill out your signature so we will know what you drive. Go to the USER CP above and fill it out.
