I've decided to scrap the 3" body lift due to the claims of the body detatching from the frame in a collision. (any disputes on this matter would be interesting and aid in future plans)

im getting the RSK 5" in the front and flip shackle kit 4.5" in the rear Package deal for $495.00. here is what i am aware of needing

shocks front & rear
brake lines front & rear
pitman arm

do i need anything ense? diff bracket?
also i am trying to build this so in the future i can add a few more inches without working backwards and ripping stuff off. what shocks can i use for a 5" lift that can also be used when i add an additional 3 to 5" from spring replacement?

I drink the info you write, so spill it!

Thanks.

Claims by who? This can and will happen on stock bushings, I have seen it over 10 times when I was doing Vol. Fire Fighting work.
Also, I havea 3" Body Lift on mine and has been on the truck for over 3 years

From SKY? Nice, I have one I need to install :)

I would recommend that you get a set of stock Super Duty Springs and move the RSK forward 4-5" and install the SD Springs, it will ride 10x better this way, and MANY guys have done this, I also am doing this, also, this will help you in the future when ya go higher, you will be able to just buy Super Duty Springs, they are cheaper

Hmmm, you might not be able to, normally you get the shocks acorrding to the height and those would be the best since they are speced for that height, I would just recommend getting new ones after you put more lift on it

Shouldn't the 5" RSK come with the mount?

I know mine did but I am using a Super Lift Track Bar Drop.

I am assuming he has a track bar, but would need an Adjustable with the SD Springs if he goes that route, which is the BEST way to go :D

Thanks for the info. the claims i read were on other fourms. i'd still like to get the 3" body lift.

What mount are you referring to? i'm not too keen on the equipment and i'm still learning my PSD.

Oh, I see. Yes the kit comes with the mount! and yes it is from Sky manufacturing. Thanks for all the info! (this site is so much better than dealing with the dealership)
