rough idling 6.0

I have an 03 250 with a 6 litre. It idles rough, but runs fine under a load. I have drained the h2o separater, changed the fuel filters and put a new crank position sensor on. Problem 2 i have tried to scan it with three different scanners and they will not comunicate with the truck(2 snap on 1 Mac scanners).....any suggestions????

How much oil you got in there? Because if its an '03, and its more than 14 quarts, you may be having whats known as parasitic drag. The crank is dragging in the oil, the oil foams, and the injectors don't fire properly. I know, sounds too easy...but it can happen. -popcorn
