Rotten egg smell in cab when towing heavy load

I have a 03 F250 6.0. 65k miles. I was pulling a 22ft gn lowboy loaded with my hunting jeep during the middle of the month and during my 300 mile trip, I started to smell a rotten egg smell in the cab. Anyone have the same experience?

Mabey you should lay off the pickled eggs and beer for a few days

I'll second the batteries.

I had a charger hooked up to the ones in my boat....smelled like sewage...probably weak and fixing to croak.

The battery and the catalytic converter wil give that rotten egg smell when they go bad.

I don't think you're going to get hydrogen sulfide from a diesel's catalytic converter, I really don't think there's enough sulphur in the fuel anymore. Gassers, oh yeah, they stink...

I will triple the check batteries comment. Might also want to check your system voltage, if you're very high, you could be cooking the batteries. Might have a bad voltage regulator. If you do add water to your batteries (if it's possible) make sure you only used distilled water, tap or well water with other minerals in it aren't good for the life of the battery.

Thought of something today prolly a lot more helpful than my previous post.

Were you in an area where they are pumping oil from the wells that you don't normally run through, Oil wells will give off a strong sulpher smell that will go away as you leave the area.
