Rhino spray in liner

here in pensacola, fl there is a Speedliner dealer, my 01 Dodge had a color match(electric blue) liner in it for 4 years and it was awesome, i'm gonna have one put in my Ford soon as i get my gooseneck installed. they told me $400 installed. he said they sand the bed down to bare metal to help it stick, dont know how the other guys do it.

PO had it sone to my truck and sprayed over the bed bolts.

i tried all sorts of stuff to strip it. some of the strippers did soften 1/32" or so. would take too long. the stuff is hard, but cuts easily with a SHARP chisel.

i used a 1/4 long bladed chisel and held it between both hands and carved/pared off the tops of the coating. once through it, it actually peeled once cut pretty good. you can do a nice job if you are careful. i did it in two 30 minute sessions on account of my hands getting tired and my but getting cold.
