This what Ann and I were thinking about for the carriage shot, something that was more like a watercolor/drawing than a photo.

Ugh--sorry, but I don't think that looks good at all.

Thanks JV, I do appreciate real honest input :sweet

Yeah it looks kinda crappy here but in full size it's not bad and would actually look good in some old colonial home over the fireplace or in the dining room with a green matte in a large frame.

I would expect it to have softer edges if it were a watercolor effect but the processed image looks more to me like a pic that was taken at very low resolution, especially given how grainy it looks around the horse's front legs. Maybe if there was a "blur" or "soften" filter in CS3 that might help...:dunno

while videoing the hummingbirds for the grandkids dvd, i snapped a quick bird coming in for a landing. these guys let me stand about 2 feet from the feeder and they zoom in and out

no comparision though to your great work. maybe you can touch it up :sly

Robert you need to disguise the feeder by placing a plant or shrub that hummingbirds usually feed from in front of the feeder so you don't see it in the shot. Also zoom in a little closer or better yet get closer if you can and fill the frame with the bird.

Nice shots
