My compressor puts out 150psi.

It is a 25ft. hose and will reach all the tires with ease.

I actually needed to air up some tires on a car that a carrier brought in the other day to one of our customers. It would have freaked the driver out if he saw me pull an air hose out from under my truck. Well, next time I will be ready.

It's a cool mod to me, but very functional at the same time.

very nice set-up!!
The only thing I would worry about is the salt and snow tearing it up when I start plowing snow next year.

I would love to do something like that, but with gravel roads, muddy fields and crossing creeks on hutning trips, I don't think it would last one my truck.

Nice work though Bama!!! :sweet

I have thought about installing one in the bed of my truck. I have the cap on it but I also have the tool box in the bed. I have thought about mounting the compressor in or under the tool box and the tank under the box.
I may have to look into this.

This has been such a useful addition to my truck.

Used it this past Monday to air up a flat tire on a car I was helping my driver load.

And today I used it to air up tires on my 4yo son's new bike.

Very handy indeed.

X2 Bama. I've used the heck out of mine too, not only for myself but MANY others with a low tire, in a bad spot.. just mention one use ?

I had a purdy heathy portable, but this Viair with a tank & reel is sweet ;tu

Best part of onboard air is the look you get pull out the air hose and plug it into your bumper. I was getting fuel a few weeks ago and a snowbird had a low trailer tire. He was waiting for a pump with an air hose so I took care of him. That led to a whole conversation about how I built my system, where I got my compressor, where it was mounted... I need to figure out where to put a tank on the Jetta and Outlook.

I've been thinking of doing what Bama did with a hose reel, I'm just concerned about clogging it up with mud and grime. I need to do it so I can free up some room that the 25' hose coil takes up under the back seat.
