Reserve Tank?

Anyone know how many gallons the reserve tank holds for an 05 psd? By reserve tank I mean by when the cluster reads "LOW FUEL". Always think I'm about to stall and it'd be nice to know how many miles I got left to E. Thanks!

I've never ran mine down to zero on the overhead but one time i got pretty low and was stuck on a hill while a tow truck was trying to back into a lot and truck stumbled and died. Now i never get it below 1/4 tank.

Miles???? You will be lucky to make it feet past empty. There is no "reserve" that Ford has published, or it would be in your Owners Manual.

I had gone as far as 60 miles after the light comes on & put in 34 at the fill up.

Actually....I have went as far as 80 to 100 miles after the light comes on. From my calculations, my light comes on w/ ten gallons left in the tank.

theres no REAL reserve, after "10" miles to empty the overhead
display reverts to "--" and it blinks...ive gone as many as 20 miles
w/ the "--"

although ive never checked it, a LEGIT code reader <autoenginuity>
will tell you what the gallonage in the tank is at any point.

I once went 3 miles when it said 0 - miles to empty through tunnels on the blue ridge parkway , always carried spare fuel after that.

Most I've driven after the light is 20 miles. No overhead console for me, guess I can't have one with the sunroof? Digital display doesn't have a compass or miles to E.

Buddy's Lincoln Navigator has pretty much the same cluster and digital readout and it displays that info. Any way to program it to do so??
