My '03 6.oL had a flash 06e17. This creates all kinds of problems. Is it possible to install a computer from another truck that has not had this flash? If so, how do I find a computer that has not had the flash?

The dealer will not eliminate the 06e17 flash!!! I think the flash was specific to California???

you could buy a tuner...and by-pass the factory flash...
but thatll eliminate your warranty ('specially w/ a dealer like the
one your dealing w/)

in the dealers defense...they dont keep the old programs...they
only have NEW/LATEST/GREATEST programs....he cant take you
back a rev or 3 or 4 because he doesnt have 'em.

im curious what problem has this flash created for you ?

I switched to a ATS fixed vane turbo and now get a p132b code. I understand this is due to the 06e17 flash that initiates the turbo relearn process. I have the actuator connected but strapped to the firewall. Each time I reflash with the ATS tuner the p132b code is eliminated, however, it comes back shortly as the turbo relearn process begins. The truck has very poor power, smokes, and high EGT's. ATS has tried 5 times with custom code, but nothing seems to work.

I am thinking of reinstalling the variable van turbo to fix the issue or ... perhaps a computer without the 06e17 flash.

Appreciate your thoughts....
