I have torn apart washers and dryers in the past.

Like you said, not too hard, just takes some time and patience.

A nice pneumatic working table would be really nice to have for that job

This item is a Whirlpool Duet Model purchased in 2004. There is absolutley nothing wrong with this machine other than I took it apart and do not feel like putting it back together. This machine was running both mechanically and electronically with no flaws.

i could have used the rear bearing/tub

someone should have told the poor bastard about
the special button sequence that puts it into "self clean" mode !

At least you have the patience to do the job. I would have probably just bought a new one and given the old one to Goodwill or Salvation Army.

I would have crushed it and scrapped the metal.
