There are a couple of screws behind the window button bezels, and one behine the red safety lense at the bottom of the door panel. (at least this is where they are on my 2004)

Then you pull up on the door panel to get it off.

Is this the info you were looking for?

1. Remove the verticle sail panel at the front edge of the window.
2a. With power windows: remove the power window switch panel, lifting the front of panel first. Disconnect the wiring harness from switch panel. Remove one screw exposed by removal of panel.
2b. With manual windows: remove front end of armrest panel lifting front end of panel first. Remove one screw exposed by removal of panel. Pry up window crank cover and rotate to side. Remove Torx T20 screw and remove window crank.
3. Pry off red reflector lense. Remove one screw exposed by removal of red lense.
4. Lift door panel and disconnect electrical harness if applicable.

3a. Call Ford and order a replacement for the lens you just cracked.

FWIW:dunno

Once you get the door panels off..I found it Much easier to R&R the door lock solenoids by loosening >Whole< the door handle assembly(s)...... so you can manuver things around to disconnect the clips and stuff ?

I had to remove my door panels when I replaced the speakers. The instructions I posted above were right out of the excellent installation sheet that Crutchfield sent with the speakers.

The red reflector actually snaps on, and with a screwdriver applied gingerly, you can snap it off without hurting it. :tounge

Thanks all! :sweet I am waiting my parts (including throttle position sensor along with door lock solenoids) and we are maneuvering around a large 4WD "boat" in the drive. Looks like I might be buying more parts, based on TG's instructions!!!
