removal of complete front core suport

In the attempt to remove my engine I have the front grill area stripped down to bare core support, I'm stumped now, it is possible to remove the core support only or do I have to remove full front clip in a 2000 sd, -t looks to be tack welded together, lifting cab and front end together isn't a option for me, no location to do so. Please any info is greatly appreciated
