Yeah I was installing them about 6-8 years ago when they really started to get popular and almost all of those had a wait to start input and a tach input. I can tell you that it's best to have someone install it professionally. I would definitely say it's worth it I have one on my superduty and my wife's focus. It all comes down to the features you want the more expensive versions are going to have alarms as well but all of them will have extra outputs for accessories that aren't part of switched power on your vehicle. I don't really worry about those just turn the heater on when we park it at night. On my brother's first dodge that had heated seats I wired a relay to one of the outputs so he could start the truck and turn on the driver seat heater in the morning with his remote. If you're thinking about it for your '02 I've done a few on that truck as well as several alarms so I wouldn't hesitate buying one for it. Like what has been said before the DEI brands are all pretty nice I would look for a viper,clifford, or python.
