At times it's really confusing to have to sort thru 100's of channels which is why I miss the good ol 36 channel days, before that we got our HBO or was it SelecTV on a UHF TV channel which required a set top converter which was in the late 70's.

When T.V. first came out, we had about 5 channels to chose from. Of course after a few hours you got the test pattern. How many of you remember that?

the Indian head?

oh yeah.

there was cable out here when we bought the house in '86

but Mom & Dad didn't get it untill around '92...

I tried to swing a deal on the cable boxes if we both hooked up at the same time, but they had Fetzer Cable and we had Pioneer.

Fetzer became Adelphia which became AT&T..

Poineer became Adelphia West which became Comcast, oddly enough.
