Umm, that inverter would create quite a bit of heat, especially one so big.
It's funny to see what people will go through just to get around spending a few dollars on a REGULAR system. I'm in the business, so it's even more funny to me.

HEY, I resemble that remark!!!!

A few of Foxworthy's "you might be a redneck if....." lines hit home for me:
1) If going to the bathroom requires shoes and a flashlight...
We had an outdoor john (actually it's still standing) when I was growing up.
2) Directions to your house include "turn off the paved road"
I'm sure this includes plenty of us.
3) You've been on TV more than 5 times describing the path of the tornado
Actually my wife was on TV once the night the tornado blew our house away.

All kidding aside, I'm sure there are several places in the good old USA where you'd see that type of a/c setup and the owners would be "tickled pink" over their "creaton".
