Recommendations for 8" lift on 99 PSD

i have a fabtech 8" lift and works well, comes with the carrier bearing shim kit, dual front shocks and i didnt have to replace the brake lines, i just moved the little bracket down about an inch. Keep in mind though if you do more than 6" lift you will have to legthen your front drive shaft unless you do the trasfer case indexing kit. I would recommend the crossover sterring set up with the 8" lift from offroad ulimited. Its spendy but i heard its nice.

Be aware that with 8" of lift, you'll increase bump steer dramatically. ORU makes a cross over steering system for your truck. You'll also eat drag link parts annually. Ask what the rear spring rate is. Usually Skyjacker is 10% over factory. Donahoe will recommend adding some type of supplimentary air bag for heavy towing as their rear springs are "soft-ride" (read: non-load bearing). The front drive shaft will be at its limit. The rear should be okay. If its a two piece you'll need to lower the carrier bearing about 2". I would recommend lowering your receiver rather than an extreme drop bar. That's a lot of stress and leverage if the drop is too much. What size tires are you trying to fit? If you go too tall without changing your ring and pinions you'll loose power/pulling capacity. I wouldn't go more that 35s which will fit under 6" of lift easily.
I speak from experience. I had a 2000 F250 with an 8" Kelderman AirRide system with 37" Toyo MTs and towed a 20' jet boat. It took a lot of extra "stuff" to do it right. Good luck!
