Recall Questions

My dealer informed me that my truck ('04 King Ranch 250) should have recalls #05S34 and 05E15 done. He also told me that I'm eligible for a 59B01 test drive. My question is have any of you experienced negative effects from performing the above recalls - I've read alot of bad stuff about the 06E17, but not so much about the others. Thanks in advance for your help!

05S34 is FICM Wiring Harness (i wouldnt go w/out having this done) read
and SEE more about it --> FDDTS - Recall in Review - Safety Recall 05S34

05E15 is the EBP sensor & plug recall (had mine done, didnt have a problem
before it was performed or afterwards) read & see more about this
TSB --> FDDTS - Recall in Review - Emissions Recall 05E15

59B01 is a TEST drive <performed after they do work or a reflash>

06E17 is a reflash...could be one of several since its never really
clear what is being changed...and if its the injector buzz after shutdown
theres been a revision that stops the buzzing <ive not been reflashed
in YEARS...and until i have some issues i dont see a point in taking it in>

Thanks, so you suggest that I just do the 2 recalls and make sure they don't reflash if I'm not having problems?

at this point i think the reflashes probably arent so bad <as they used to be>,
but if your not having any drivablity concerns i wouldnt "fix" it.

the wiring harness needs to be checked <there were problems
w/ some harness and connector chafing that caused shorting and
grounding of the electrical system>....when the short/ground occured
the truck would die...and it didnt matter if it was at idle in your
driveway or towing down the interstate @ 65+mph

Thanks - do you know any reputable dealers in central tx? I live about 2 min from Bluebonnet, but I'd rather not go there....

sorry i dont...i havent had to take my 6.0L to a dealer since
i moved from virginia <i can tell you which ones to stay away
from THERE> !
