Rear shock setup

why on superduties are both rear shock behind the rear axel, unlike Chebbys and dodges where there is one in front and one behind.. im told they do that for wheel hop.... thanks

if i am not mistaken, 2004 was the last year where both shocks were on the back side of the axle. starting with the 2005 models, one shock on one side and the other shock on the other side. was done for better ride and handling i believe.

ohh ok... then if i was to put another set of shocks on would it be bad to mount them on the front of the axle?? would this cause issues?

i don't really know, it might help. i guess you would have to use somekind of aftermarket mounting hardware.

ill get some stock shock mounts and just weld em on? itll work Eh?
