a good dusting of baby powder (after youve cleaned up the motor)
should help you find the beginning of the oil leak/trail.

d00d-

keep looking. btw: did you look at the trans pan? the OEM gasket is reusable rubber and if it got worked on by some yoyo and they put a paper on in its place, it will forever leak. guess where the drip end up, bottom of the bell houseing.

you do know that IF it's REALLY your oil pan, you have to pull the engine to flip it over, pull the pan, scrape, clean glue and let dry overnight to seal up.

its NOT a day's job.

good luck. i hope is something else.

Pulling the hood, grill, bumper, radiator, intercooler, disconnecting all sorts of hoses, electrical connections, unbolting engine from the frame and transmission, pulling the engine, fixing oil pan leak......then do everything in reverse is going to take more than a day.

I was guna jump in with the same thing. Take it to 3 or 4 more Mechs before you commit. BIG, Big labor bucks involved there.

Now'a dayz taking our vehicles to a mechanic for repairs.. is just like going to the doctor for something we can't mend, fix or treat at home.. Get a 2nd opinion !! Even a 3rd or 4th.

Where is the drip actually dripping from ? If it's from the Bell Housing and your Pan is not wet.. I'd have a big problem believing it's the Pan.

well it seems that the mechanic fixed the pan leak with out pulling the engine. I saw the pan hanging down off the engine so im positive that he fixed it.
