Rear Main Seal

Just like posted above. I had the same exact situation & thought it was the rear main seal. Turned out to be oil seeping from the orange intake boots.

Actually took mine in for a warranty repair with that exact same symtom. Couldn't believe that much oil could leak out the intercooler boot.....down the engine.....past the starter and hit the ground. I thought it was a turbo seal leak. Dealer pulled all the plumbing loose........cleaned it up.......told me my air filter was either too restricted or that I had over oiled the element.

i'd be hard cash that's a hpop or turbo pedestal leak. I was CONVINCED i had a RMS leak even after reading these boards, and then found out i had a HPOP leak. It would only leak above 2k RPM which made it very hard to find.

i seriously doubt it was your air filter...if anything it was probably
the the ccv blow by that re-circulates thru the intercooler
