rear end trouble

when i put the truck in reverse and barely move back it starts jerking and vibrating really bab. if i give it a lilttle gas it stops until i slow down again. it doesnt do it while its in drive

hopefully it's just a limited slip that needs some ford additive, but it doesn't sound fun. :confused:

its a 2005 f250 King Ranch, i already put the additive in the rear end. its may have helped out a little but didnt solve the problem

Isn't that a know issue with the torque shift? Mine is 05 but has the same symtom if you don't come to a complete stop before going into reverse.

SOME 2005 F-SUPER DUTY VEHICLES WITH A TORQSHIFT TRANSMISSION (ALL GAS MODELS, AND 6.0L DIESELS BUILT BEFORE 12/13/2004) MAY EXHIBIT REVERSE SHUDDER, LOSS OF REVERSE AND TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKAGE. THIS CONDITION MAY BE CAUSED BY THE REVERSE CLUTCH-TO-CASE SNAP RING BECOMING DISLODGED, RESULTING IN A HOLE IN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CASE. Oh that sounds bad! holes in the case are not good in my opinion. Makes it hard to keep the fluid in that way! Does that mean tranny r&r? :eek:
