Rear End (of F250) question

Hello...am (just) looking at 2017 F250 models. My current dream truck has a retail of just under $76k (hey, I did say "dream").

Question, on the rear end, they have 2 options:
1. 3.55 Electronic Locking Axle Ratio
2. 3.55 Non-Limited Slip Axle Ratio

What does it mean? Which is preferred for road/towing and why?

Go with #1.
From what I understand, #2 is just a normal one wheel peel open diff.

Yep, #2 is just a normal open differential

#1 is an electronic locker...... it is controlled by the computer. Dad's 16 F-150 4x4 has them on both ends, I think he said, but he did say you can "feel" them work. He had a light snow, enough to make it slippery, and still had the factory crappy "street" tires (have been replaced by a set of Transforce A/T). He said, the truck was a bit squirrly after making a turn, but the lockers kicked in, and the truck straightened out like it was on dry pavement......

I'd go with the e-locker. I have it in my truck. On mine it's controlled on the 4x4 switch. It automatically unlocks above 25mph. But I've used it to get out of some loose sand and dirt.
