Where can I tap into a 12volt source for rear back up lite voltage. I need a source somewhere under dash but do not want to pull steering column apart if I don't have too. Any ideas or color code for the wire (I need a 12 volt positive upon putting gear selector in reverse for one of my rear camera setups).

Thanks

i ran a line all the way to the front/battery...and i used
the reverse tail lamp as a trigger.

i ran the power down the drivers side (in the frame),
mounted the relay up under the body near the
tail light...and tapped the tail light reverse power
wire as my trigger (lights come on w/ reverse or by switch)

Thanks bushpilot that's the way I ran my extra lights in the rear also. What I'm trying to do is tap in somewhere under the dash to the connection for my 5th wheel camera. I didn't want to run all the way to the rear of truck, The lead is under my dash coming out of my camera harness. I have them manual switched on my uplifter switch now but to get the grid (distance lines) to show up on the monitor I still have to wire a second positive on when put in reverse)to the 5th camera.
