I found this on fordpowerstrokeforums.com. Anyone hear of the "leaking" fuel issue?
"All you need is regular oil that is the correct weight for your diesel. When i left Ford, they were advising to use the 10W-30 oils, not the 15W-40 oils, in the 6.0 diesel. They even told me that 10W-30 was the factory fill.
Also what the Ford hotline and a few instructors at the school told me was this: Change the oil and filter in the 6.0 at 3K intervals. Reason being, the 6.0 bleeds a small amount of fuel into the oiling system. This is a International Harvester design flaw that can NOT be fixed. That fuel whipped up in the oil has a nasty habit of gumming up the turbo vanes. They highly recommend getting that goo out of the oil at 3K before it can do any damage."
