The service truck at work just puked its radiator yesterday (2008 F450 6.4L), the parts manager at our Ford dealer said it is common for those. Anyone else have that problem?

I have heard that it is very common, that was one of the major problems with the first year, job 1 trucks in particular.

Couple months ago had my '08 in for it;s 30k check up and when they pressure tested the system found a leak, must have been small, nothing dripping.

Just had my radiator replaced. Took the truck in for a oil change and they said I needed a radiator. I didn't notice it was leaking. Also had to replace a battery (2-1/2 YRS OLD). Also had to replace the overdrive button in the shifter. I love the truck but damn when it breaks.....warranty covered most of it.

You are supposed to use anti-freeze and DISTILLED water only in the radiator. Adding tap water will allow corrosion to eat the parts on the cooling system, like the radiator. It is only a few gallons to buy for a refill. This applies to adding to the radiator coolant.
