Been reading this forum since I found it . LOTS of great answers and help in here!. I bought my '02 F250 last Thursday and already have my spare CPS in the glove box and would like anyone's opinion on what else I should carry with me. I go on long trips and I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I have read others scary stories about breaking down and would appreciate any info or wisdom you guys could impart to this new F250 owner. Thanks ahead of time! John Bennett, Aiken,SC

Stock F250 Lariat, 7.3L, (wish I knew which wheels I had...forgot to ask the guy)
Looking to DP Tune it in the near future.( 15 mpg currently).

Welcome to SDD NevrKnow.

Put a spare fuel filter in your spare parts kit.

A real good assortment of common tools, with SAE/MM wrenches & sockets up to 1" (anything over 15mm, SAE works), spare Serpentine belt, spare Fuses, set of SAE/MM Allen's.. along with yer CPS & Filters.. yer good to go.

OH.. and don't ferget some Bale'n wire & Duct Tape ;)

Welcome to SDD. That's a nice looking truck you got there. Aside from all the other ideas you have been given, I always carry a bottle of fuel treatment in the toolbox. If I fuel up somewhere I'm not familiar with, I pour some in. Rather have a little treatment and not need it rather than not have it and need it. I also have a few spare light bulbs in the toolbox somewhere.
