Quick gauge wiring question..

Got my pillar mounted today, ran outta time, and had to go pick my daughter up..

Where am I supposed to tap into for the lights???

not sure about the 99 but my OBS I tapped right in at the fuse panel

I removed the headlight switch panel and tapped the wire that dims the factory dash lights.

If you have never removed the switch panel......don't force it......it literally has a combination to it.

whats best way to take off that switch cover.. its been awhile

Someone will correct me if I am wrong...........

1) Turn headlight switch to on
2) Pull out on the knob
3) Insert paper clip or something similar into the small hole on the back side of the knob to release it.
4) Remove knob
5) Rotate 180 degrees and push back onto stem
6) Turn headlights off
7) Push in on knob and rotate back to on position(clock wise)
8) Gently pull out on the knob and the whole plate should come with it

Thanks gents...

But, I stuck a small precision screwdriver in between the panel, and the dash, and pop.. out it came...

Found the right wire, and viola...

I come inside to read all these posts....

Its cool though...

I really need to snag a service manual for this thing...
