friend of mine is looking for an EX and has a few questions...i want to
confirm what i THINK i know...and i know you guys are experts on these

1. did the excursion 4x4 ever get the coil spring in 05 along with super duty?

(for what i THINK i know...isnt the ex using leaf springs up front....isnt
the 2005 really left over 2004s ? what is the last year of production...
2005 right ?)

2. does the excursion get a 5r110 torque shift transmission w/ a 6.0L in
04 & 05? friend says he see 4 or 5 speed auto was dependent on
trim, and that you needed xlt or bauer to get 5-speed.

(im not aware that anything OTHER than the 5r110/torqshift was ever
hooked to a 6.0L regardless of the trim level)

1. No, still leaf springs up front.

1- Leaf springs, same dash, same badges, etc... basically left over 04's like you said, with the exception of the 05 motor. 2005 was the last year of production.

2- The torqshift was the only transmittion available with the 6.0 ltr Excursions, (and the only auto with the 6.0 pickups).

i.e. you are correct on all points.
